Disneyland Paris

A few weeks ago I decided I couldn't resist the lure of the Marvel Summer of Super Heroes at Disneyland Paris any longer so booked a short stay at the resort. More photos of the Marvel-themed entertainment can be viewed here.
My first stop upon arriving at the Parks was Studio Services in Walt Disney Studios Park to make all my meal reservations but also to see whether there was any Mastercard reserved seating left for the Marvel: Super Heroes United show. As luck would have it, there was a single ticket remaining! Prior to that show starting, I was also able to view a performance of Stark Expo presents: Energy for Tomorrow! which just left Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Dance-Off to watch.

Across to Disneyland Park for Disney Stars on Parade.
No Crait scene at Star Tours: The Adventures Continue - back to Hoth and Naboo.
After checking in the Disneyland Hotel, I headed for dinner at a surprisingly quiet Café Mickey, followed by a drink at the Hotel New York. The bar there has always been one of my favourites - barring any other unplanned trips this will have been my last time visiting before the hotel transforms into The Art of Marvel (due to open in 2020).
Back to Disneyland Park for Illuminations. The 25th anniversary celebrations continue until September.

I loved the Disney California Adventure version Guardians of the Galaxy Dance-Off - it was just a lot of fun (and the cast members were excellent). A slightly more elaborate version has since debuted at Epcot but the French version is closer to the original. And yes, it's still highly entertaining.
Something I was unaware of until a few weeks ago - Tuesday is "Guest Star Day" at Disneyland Park and sees rarer characters take part in a pre-parade. This week's guests were Jane Porter and Terk from Tarzan.
I just missed the opening of Hyperspace Mountain on my last visit to Paris. As I've mentioned in previous trip reports, I was a huge fan of Space Mountain (and Mission 2) but as the years went by found it increasingly uncomfortable to ride, to the point where I just stopped bothering. I'm pleased to say it's certainly improved following the latest refurb but the new version of the attraction was somewhat underwhelming.

Starting the day with some dark rides.
This was my first time riding Pirates of the Caribbean since the attraction reopened last July. Animatronics of Jack Sparrow and Barbossa were added and, of course, the Redhead is now a pirate.
I was hoping to use my remaining Hotel FastPass on Big Thunder Mountain but unfortunately the ride was down.

I don't know if and when I'll make it to the new Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World so this will have to do for now!
