Kilimanjaro Safaris, at Disney's Animal Kingdom, consists of a 18 minute ride through a simulation of an African savannah. VIP tours (Wild Africa Trek and Caring for Giants) are also available for those wanting a more in-depth look at the attraction's exhibits.
"Finding Nemo - The Musical" debuted at The Animal Kingdom in January 2007. The 40 minute show features songs composed by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez and marked the first time Disney turned a non-musical feature into a musical production. The puppets were designed by Michael Curry, whose work has also featured in The Lion King and Frozen - Live at the Hyperion.

Although Christmas now seems a distant memory, as I was going through my last few (hundred!) photos from my trip to WDW, I thought it would be fun to spotlight some of the themed Christmas tree decorations I saw around the resort. The photos below were all taken in the character meet & greet section of Camp Minnie-Mickey at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Two weeks tomorrow I'm off to Walt Disney World. It has to be said that most of my planning seems to have revolved around lunch & dinner reservations (failed at dinner reservations for Be Our Guest so guess I'll be in that early morning queue for lunch!).
One of my favourite attractions is Kilimanjaro Safaris and so I've often considered booking the Wild Africa Trek. I'd pretty much discarded the idea of doing it on this trip (well, it's hard to fit a three hour tour in amongst so many ADRs!) but yesterday the Disney Parks Blog posted this video, which apparently was all the incentive I needed to finally book! Yes, it's expensive (just over $200) but I feel it's one of those things I'd always regret not doing. You can read more about the Trek here.
